James C. Gaither Junior Fellows Program 2018 in USA

Each year, through the James C. Gaither Junior Fellows program, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace offers nearly 12-14 one-year fellowships to uniquely qualified to graduate seniors and personality who have graduated during the last academic year. They are chosen from a pool of nominees assigned by several hundred constituted universities and colleges. James C. Gaither Junior Fellows work as research assistants to Carnegie’s senior scholars

The monthly salary is $3,291.67 (equivalent to thirty nine thousand five hundred USD ($39,500) annually) subject to federal, state and local taxes

A bountiful convenience package is provided, along with medical, dental and life insurance as well as vacation leave

Gaither Junior Fellows are accountable for their own housing arrangements


Applicants must be nominated by an official of their university or institution who has been designated for this object (generally the career placement officer, fellowship professor or an academic department chairperson)

Applications are adopted only from graduating college seniors or persona who have graduated within the previous academic year

No one will be deliberated who has started graduate studies (barring those who have lately accomplished a joint bachelor’s/master’s degree program)

Applicants should have completed a momentous quantity of coursework related to their discipline of usury

Language and other efficiency may also be necessary for definite assignments

  • Application form
  • An essay of 1 page or less, double-spaced on why the student would like to turn out a junior fellow
  • Resume/C.V. (preferably 1-2 pages)
  • Transcript of undergraduate records. The transcript may be unofficial.
  • Two letters of recommendations. These recommendations can come from anyone the student feels can best speak to their efficiency as a mighty Gaither Junior Fellow
  • Gaither Junior Fellows Program may consummately select an applicant for a program apart from of his/her designated primary interest or make an assignment to more than one program
  • An essay of no more than three (3) typewritten, double-spaced pages on one of the following topics. These topics are aimed to test efficiency in analysis, logic, and written exposure.
